"Be a man" and "Don't cry" are words that boys hear too often. They might come from a parent, a relative and even a friend but are we understanding the repercussion of these words. Boys are now speaking out about what these words really mean. It tends to make them more aggressive, not being able to let their feelings show and know that violence usually means respect from others.
What we might think is acting out could be signs of depression that we are all over looking based on our views of Masculinity in America. Less than 50% of boys will seek help and some often think of suicide as the answer!
