This holiday session is extra special for The Bachelor alum Bekah Martinez, who is expecting her baby number two, with her boyfriend, Grayston Leonard, in June 2020.
The post announcing the pregnancy news of the 24-year-old was self-explanatory and straightforward – she posed with her beau and their daughter Ruth in a city square. She carried the baby in a baby pink snow jumper and held the sonography with Leonard. The caption was equally short and simple, “Thankful” with an orange heart.
She vividly laid out her experiences of her second pregnancy on her podcast Chatty Broads. "Granted, I've only had two periods since Ruth was born, so when I missed my period, I thought, "Ok, my hormones are probably still shifting."' Before taking the at-home pregnancy test, she waited for the two weeks, and then she was like, "Well, I do have a test here in the house." She took the test when Ruth was in bed with his father, Grey.
The reality star couldn't take the apparent double line very calmly as she couldn't believe her eyes. She said, "My body was almost convulsing, I was shaking so hard. I was in utter shock and disbelief." Though she is excited to know the gender of the baby, she will be happy either with a boy or a girl. The former reality star's sister is only two years elder to her, and the two have a blast. So she feels "If I have a little girl, the sisters will be only 16 months apart,' and ‘if it’s a little boy, how fun because we haven’t had a little boy yet."
The news comes nine months after The Bachelor star and her boyfriend welcomed their first child, Ruth Ray De La Luz Leonard, via water at the Natural Birth Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 2. In a video posted at the time of her first pregnancy, she said motherhood was something which she had always dreamt of. She admitted, "I've wanted to be a mom my whole life. This is what I've always wanted."
And just a few weeks before revealing the first pregnancy, she had opened up on Instagram about her relationship with the Close to Home actor Leonard. The post caption was, “#tbt we may have only been together less than two years but we’ve gone through so much together. i’m so proud of us and so in love with you @pipyopi ✨♥️ #babynumbertwo?"
She had never fretted from taking to the social media about sharing the different stages of her life, including their turmoil of pregnancy within three months of dating or sharing her piece of mind on breastfeeding her 9-months-old.
She is towards the end of the first trimester, and so far, everything's going good!
