Because fans don’t often get to see Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, any sighting of the twins is truly a special treat. As a matter of fact, Beyoncé recently shared a short but sweet clip of her children on her most recent television special. Even though the camera is on older sister Blue Ivy, it’s Rumi and Sir who manage to steal the show! Here’s what you need to know.
According to Us Weekly, Rumi and Sir both made a surprise appearance on Beyoncé’s Making the Gift special that originally aired on the ABC network on Monday, September 16th. The special included a scene in which Blue Ivy appeared to be making her own special gift for her mother. However, viewers could see her younger brother and sister in the background.
If that weren’t enough, viewers were also treated to a special mommy and me moment between Beyoncé and her twins. The 38-year-old celebrity mother could be heard asking them about the different sounds that a car, cow, and lion make. Needless to say, it was a wonderful moment to see as Rumi showed off a very adorable “rawr.”
In addition, Beyoncé also shared a video clip that was taken from the back of a car after the Carter family arrived in Africa. Both Rumi and twin brother Sir could be seen strapped into their car seats. Even then, they both look cute as buttons!
Not to be outdone by her younger siblings, Blue Ivy also had her moment in the spotlight during the documentary. The little celebrity in the making played a very instrumental part when her mother helped promote Disney’s live-action film The Lion King this past summer. Not only did she get to star in Beyoncé’s music video for the movie, but she also joined the superstar on the red carpet for the film’s premiere. She told reporters that her dress was from Kenya while her mother looked on proudly and called her a beautiful queen. She then pointed to her headdress and said it reminds her of the "Circle of Life".
Beyoncé also gushed about motherhood in the film, saying, “When you’re a mother, there’s a love that you experience with your kids that’s deeper than anything you can imagine. The love is beyond Earth and beyond time and space, and it’s a connection that will be constant.”
