Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are one of Hollywood's most notorious former couples. While 2020 marks 15 years since their split, devoted fans still entertain a possible reunion between the two. It was recently announced that the pair will 'reunite' for a virtual table read of  Fast Times at Ridgemont High, though the event has been postponed due to technical difficulties. The famed duo never had children together, the idea of a starting a family together was entertained before they went their separate ways. Both Brad and Jennifer made comments to the press about their plans to have children together. Here are some of their most memorable quotes.

"It's time. It's time"

In 2004, shortly before the couple announced their separation, Jennifer did an interview with The Guardian, where she touched on the topic of starting a family with Brad. Jennifer and Brad spent much of their relationship fending off questions about their personal lives and whether or not kids were in the forecast, so this candid interview came as a bit of a surprise to fans. Jennifer told Fred Schruers that she was looking forward to slowing down,  "It's time. It's time. You know, I think you can work with a baby, I think you can work pregnant, I think you can do all of it. So I'm just truly looking forward to slowing down.” They announced their split just 6 months after the publication of the interview.

"We've been in rehearsals long enough."

Brad also stated his interest in having a family with Jennifer shortly before they split. In 2004, he spoke with CNN's Bill Hemmer, about acting, money, and family. When Hemmer asked Brad if the Pitt-Aniston duo was set to expand anytime, he replied, "I think it's time. I think it's time. We've been in rehearsals long enough.”

"I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children."

After the couple's official split, people speculated that the pair separated due to their lack of consensus on starting a family. In 2006, she spoke to Vanity Fair about how the media unfairly jumped to conclusions about her not wanting children,  "A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children. That really pissed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will! The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all.”

Clearly, the couple both wanted children, but the marriage was not going in the direction where it was a possibility for them. When Brad met Angelina, he probably wasn't expecting to jump so quickly into fatherhood. Angelina was already a mom to Maddox, whom she adopted in 2001. The couple then adopted Zahara in 2006, had Shiloh in 2006, adopted Pax in 2007, and finally had their twins, Vivienne and Knox, in 2008.
