"Bodak Yellow" hitmaker Cardi B took to the stage at Washington D.C's Broccoli City Festival in her last performance before becoming a mother. In an Instagram video posted last week, the rap sensation told fans that her pregnancy was making it difficult for her to perform, and Broccoli Fest would be her last show for a while. Cardi went on to explain that although it looks like she's fine, in reality she can "hardly breathe".

The 25-year-old is expecting her first child with Migos rapper Offset. Rumors circulated of the star's impending motherhood for months, but neither Cardi or her beau confirmed the pregnancy until her recent appearance on SNL. The hip-hop star stuck to her word and battled it out at the festival, wearing a denim jacket, Princess Diana tee, denim thigh high boots and a blue weave. She told the audience how she was determined to go out with a bang. "This is my last performance. I'm about to turn up. I'm not even gon' lie, y'all, I'm on 10 percent".
The couple have been dating since early 2017, after they made their first public appearance at the Super Bowl. Cardi shared footage from the event on her Instagram page, along with sweet snaps of the pair messing around. It wasn't long before they were snapped arm-in-arm looking fabulous at the Met Gala after party.
It hasn't all been smooth sailing for the soon-to-be parents, though. Toward the end of last year, the Bronx native was seen without her engagement ring, with rumors of Offset's infidelity spreading far and wide. Although it hasn't been confirmed, it's thought that he was the victim of an iCloud attack that saw photos come out of him with another woman in a hotel bathroom. Tracks on her recent album Invasion of Privacy, including "Be Careful", seem to point to her knowledge of her partner's cheating.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Cardi explained her decision to stay with the father of her child. "It's not right, what he f***ing did. But, people don't know what I did. I ain't no angel". She went on to explain that despite what people say, she knows her own self-worth and chose to stay to work on the relationship.
