It seems as though one of TLC's fan-favorite couples from the reality show 'Unexpected' has positioned their on-again, off-again relationship to off-again, disappointing fans who had high hopes for the couple's short-lived reconciliation.

Just a few months ago, McKayla Adkins, 19, and Caelan Morrison, 21, announced that they were going to try to make things work again, uniting their family with son Timothy James Allen (welcomed in July 2017) and daughter Gracelynn Ann (welcomed in January 2019). Fans were excited that the couple had decided to get back together following Adkins' split from a brief relationship with a man named Josh.

But sadly, according to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Morrison has made it clear that the couple are no longer together by taking to Instagram Live on Wednesday. On the live stream, Morrison told his fans that the mother of his two children had left him because "she obviously has some health issues that she's working on."

But in a previously posted video, Morrison had stated that Adkins had broken up with him for "no reason." Some fans take issue with Morrison allegedly calling attention to Adkins in this manner because, in October, the young mother had openly talked about her personal struggles with mental health on her YouTube channel.

Morrison seemed to be using the Instagram Live session as a way to release some steam as he went on to tell fans that Adkins spoke to other guys behind his back and that she spends all of her money on hair dye and tattoos. "I’m not trying to make her look bad but it’s just crazy and horrible what she does," Morrison said. "She messaged other guys already, telling them that she’s been broken up with me for weeks….four days ago she was telling everyone in my family and in hers that she loves me and wants to marry me."

Drama quickly heated up because at some point during the video, Adkins' brother Dylan started commenting on the live chat with threats to Morrison to "stop lying" which escalated to Dylan actually going over to Morrison's house. (The two families happen to live within close proximity to each other.) Thankfully, no violence took place but hostile words were exchanged between various family members including Morrison's mother towards members of Adkins' family.

But fans also found other parts of the video sincere and heartfelt, coming from a heartbroken young man. At one point, Morrison talks about his dog, Domino, staying by the window and crying, looking out for Adkins and the kids and waiting for them to come back. By the next day, Thursday, Morrison had posted an apology video. He stated that he was "upset and emotions and feelings can get the best of you sometimes." The young father also said that he regretted saying things about their personal lives online and added that he just wants Adkins to be happy whether it's with him or not.

These situations are difficult to navigate - having a pair of extremely young children together and being thrust into the public eye certainly can complicate things for two people who are very young themselves. We wish them all the best in finding peace and happiness!
