Despite rumors that Caitlyn Jenner was hoping to have more children, the former Olympian and reality star has denied the “foolish” claims that she was hoping to have a baby with business partner Sophia Hutchins.
Jenner, 69, who has six biological children and four stepchildren, has put the kibosh on reports that she was anxious to have a child via surrogate with Hutchins, 23. Her representative told Metro.co.uk, “It’s a foolish rumor that has no merit and is completely untrue.”
Earlier, an unnamed source had told Closer magazine, “Caitlyn and Sophia have spoken about starting a family together for the last year or so, and while Caitlyn’s already got ten children, she’s never had the chance to bring a child up in the role of a mother, which she’s always dreamed of doing.” The source added that Hutchins also dreamed of being a mother.
Though Jenner and Hutchins share a home in Malibu, they have also denied claims that they are a couple. The executive director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, Hutchins is often featured on Jenner’s social media pages and spotted around town with the reality star.
Since moving in together, the two have been the subject of endless speculation with unidentified acquaintances saying that Jenner’s children were opposed to her plans to have more children. Gossip outlets have also stated that Kim Kardashian, who has had two children via surrogate, was the only one who had supported her step-mom’s decision to have a baby.
Jenner, who came out as transgender in April 2015 in a 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, stated at the time that she had struggled with gender dysphoria since her youth and that, "for all intents and purposes, I'm a woman." Jenner also admitted to cross-dressing for years and taking hormone replacement therapy before becoming engaged to Kris Kardashian, who she married in 1991.
Jenner has also said that Kris was aware of her gender identity and that she knew that Jenner would cross dress when traveling alone. The couple divorced in 2015 and Jenner underwent sex reassignment surgery in January 2017. She has stated that she has never been sexually attracted to men and chooses to identify as asexual.
In a recent episode of The Hills: A New Beginning, Linda Thompson, Jenner’s ex-wife and the mother of his sons Brandon and Brody, revealed that she knew that her ex-husband wanted to transition for decades. “My life just did a 180,” Linda said. “In my mind, I had lost my normal, my family, my wonderful husband that I thought would be forever. I had just lost my marriage and the father of my kids. I was devastated.” The revelation prompted Thompson to give Jenner “a pass” for being an absentee father, she said. So far, Jenner has not responded to these comments.
