Carrie Underwood is opening up regarding her journey with pregnancy and revealed she suffered from 3 miscarriages prior to becoming pregnant with the baby she is now carrying.
The “Before He Cheats” singer revealed that she was pregnant earlier this summer and made her baby bump debut on stage alongside country legend Keith Urban. The two sang a duet together, all while a pregnant Carrie Underwood was beaming with joy. After a tumultuous year recovering from a fall that led the singer to have surgery on her face, it turns out the star has gone through a lot more than we thought.

The star sat down with CBS News where she discussed her current pregnancy, and how it didn’t come without heartbreaks. The former American Idol winner shared that during her process of trying to get pregnant for the second time, she suffered from three miscarriages. The singer shared that she even broke down in tears when she suspected that she was having a fourth miscarriage, but luckily for her and hubby Mike Fisher, they are officially welcoming their second child.
Underwood shared that she had planned for 2017 to be the year she’d make new music and have a baby, however, that didn’t work out the way she and Fisher had planned. After her first miscarriage, she believed it just wasn’t the right time and that they would be able to bounce back, however, the second time the couple tried for a baby it didn’t pan out yet again. When the singer got pregnant for the third time and miscarried, she began to lose faith.
According to Daily Mail, Underwood didn’t understand why this was happening to them. “Okay, like, what’s the deal? What is all of this?” she said in the interview. As time passed by, the couple tried again mid-2018 and found themselves pregnant for the fourth time. When Carrie believed she was suffering from another miscarriage, she instantly turned to God, “For the first time, I finally felt like I told God how I felt”, she said.
