What a year it has been for Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz!
Starting from February 2018, his team won the 52nd Super Bowl against the Patriots. Shortly after the game, he proposed to his steady girlfriend, Madison Osberg. They married five months later in July. And now just this Thanksgiving weekend, the couple revealed that they are pregnant! Wentz announced the pregnancy on Instagram and Twitter with the help of their beautiful dogs.
The Wentz family has a female golden retriever, Henley, who had puppies in 2016. Henley is shown laying on a couch next to a sign that says, “I’m not the only MOM in the house”. Her pup is seen looking at a book that is titled, “How to Be a Big Brother” in one picture, and then is holding a line of sonograms hanging from a stick in his mouth in another. Both of them are wearing black and red buffalo plaid scarves that perfectly fit the season.
In his Instagram post, Wentz wrote, “So much to be thankful for, but this might take the cake! What a blessing this child already is and will continue to be to my wife and I”. He did not mention how far along his wife is or when the baby is due. Hopefully, he will be updating fans as time goes on.
Although Wentz has just started his NFL career, he certainly hit the ground running. He has played for the Philadelphia Eagles since being drafted in 2016. He earned several “rookie” awards during his first season including, most pass completions of a rookie and Pepsi’s “Rookie of the Week”. He was a critical player in the 2017 season and helped lead the team to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL that kept him from playing in the Super Bowl. This year’s season has started a little rocky, but Wentz is confident his team can “turn it around” for their game with the Miami Dolphins.
Wentz showed a lot of potential as a young quarterback, and it’s safe to assume he will do the same as a father. Only time will tell if he will have another successful “rookie” season during his first year as a new dad.
