Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell has revealed she suffered a miscarriage last month. Lowell made the announcement on social media this week to her followers about their tragic loss. Weeks after the devastating miscarriage, Lowell is opening up about their loss and what she wants others who are experiencing the same thing to know.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Lowell, 28, revealed to her followers that she was pregnant and excited to share the news with fans. She posted a photo of a positive pregnancy test and separate pictures of herself and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, according to US Weekly. However, this was no pregnancy announcement, but a reveal that she suffered a miscarriage. The reality show star told her followers she was sharing the news with others to let them know they are not alone. She says those who are also suffering are in this together. Right now, she described herself as still being “in the thick” of dealing with the tragic loss because it was so recent. Lowell went on to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support, saying she cares about their fans as much as they do about her. The mom-of-three says she opened up about the miscarriage to help those who are experiencing the same thing. She wants others to know that there is someone else also grieving a pregnancy loss. Lowell admits the Instagram post was hard to share, but once again reminded followers in the same situation they are “not alone.”

The MTV star shares daughters Novalee, 5, and Vaeda, 21 months, with Baltierra, 28. The couple is also parents to 11-year-old Carly and found loving parents to adopt her. According to USA Today, Lowell revealed they found out baby number four was on the way only a few days before Thanksgiving, but on the actual holiday, Lowell started to bleed. She recalls seeing the positive pregnancy test and getting excited, but that all came “crashing down.” Lowell says they lost the baby. She felt overwhelmed with sadness and her emotions. The 28-year-old had already experienced a miscarriage in the past. Back in 2018, the couple opened up about the miscarriage during a Teen Mom OG episode. When the episode aired, Baltierra recalled it being very “traumatic,” saying they just held each other because there was nothing they could really do.

Lowell told Champion Daily that when the time is right, it will happen because everything in life has a plan. As for now, she says they have two “beautiful angels" watching over them and their children.
