Bachelor couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici recently explained the special meaning behind their newborn daughter’s middle name.

This past Thursday, Catherine took to her Instagram story to discuss her daughter’s gorgeous name. “Mia Mejia Lowe,” she wrote. “Mejia is my mom’s maiden name and my sisters and I share Mejia as our middle name too.” As for how its pronounced, the mom-of-three added, “Meh-Hee-Ya.” Catherine and Sean welcomed their daughter this past December. The former reality stars are also parents to two boys – 3-year old Samuel and 19-month old Isaiah. – and have been married since 2014.

Before the birth of their third child, Catherine, 33, hinted to Us Weekly that this wouldn’t be their l last baby. “Originally when I met Sean, I wanted five [kids],” the graphic designer told the publication in May. “He’s like, ‘Whoa.’ I’m like, ‘OK, maybe four.’ … I want a girl naturally next and then [to] adopt a girl. Then you get sisters and brothers. I know it’s probably not going to happen, but that’s my ideal.” She added that Sean is open to adoption, too. “He always wanted to adopt. I have no problems with that. I think it will be a beautiful family. We’ll see what happens,” she explained.

Earlier this month, BabyGaga reported on how Sean has been supporting his wife following her C-section. In early January, Catherine used social media to praise her husband for being so hands-on following the arrival of Mia. "I haven't been able to help much with the boys while I'm in surgery recovery," she wrote. "But he's been dad of the decade already and it's only day two of 2020."

Sean and Catherine originally met during Season 17 of The Bachelor. They tied the knot in a televised ceremony in 2014. Since then, the couple have steered clear of reality television and prefer to focus on their growing family. The pair admit they sometimes forget how incredible their love story actually is.
