Chance the Rapper recently welcomed his second daughter, Marli. He announced that he has made the decision to take time off of work and go on paternity leave to spend time with his daughter. Chance has chosen to postpone his The Big Day tour. He wasn't originally going to take time off but just a few days before the first day of the tour that was going to promote his first-ever album he shared the big news.

The artist shared a picture of his sweet family and explained his decision to go on paternity leave and to spend time with his new daughter and his four-year-old daughter Kensli. Chance the Rapper shared that he has thought it over for the past week and that this year has been really amazing for him and his family. He got married to his beautiful wife Kristen in March and then they were able to also welcome a new baby. He then shared that even though it has been a great year it has been very strenuous trying to divide his time between his daughter, his wife and his career. The rapper then continues by saying that when his daughter Kensli was born he went on tour when she was only 2 weeks old and he confessed that he missed some important milestones and he was also not there for Kristen when she needed him the most.

He decided that he wasn't going to make that mistake again and there was no way that he was going to leave his wife and his two daughters after he missed so much with his first. He wants to be able to support his wife and to be available for her whenever she needs him. He wants to be able to help her and be there for the early months of Marli's life.

Chance finished up by apologizing to all of his fans. He knew that the decision would probably make a lot of people a little bit upset because he knows that there were many people who were interested in seeing him and excited for his concert. However, he hopes that people will understand and respect his decision. Family always comes first and he wants to put his daughters and his wife first. The new tour schedule will kick off in January.
