Little Cali Clay Shepard may be the youngest person ever to have an Instagram account - but new mom, model Chanel Iman wasn't wasting any time. And while she may only be three days old, Cali has already amassed over 7,000 followers.
Cali was born to Victoria's Secret supermodel mom, Iman, and Dad, New York Giants Wide Receiver, Sterling Shepard on August 10th, three months after Iman confirmed that she was expecting her first child with Shepard - and two months after the couple tied the knot at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Southern California.
Iman first announced the newest addition to her family on the evening of August 12th, just two short days after her daughter was born.
"You were worth every push every contraction!" she gushed via her Instagram profile, captioning an intimate photo of the new family taken from her hospital bed. "Welcome to our world @caliclayshapard ❤️ Love mommy and daddy."
No stranger to showing off her growing belly to her 1.6 million followers as her due date approached, the 27-year-old new mom creatively detailed her road to mommyhood through her numerous, candid Instagram posts - sharing everything from pregnancy cravings to pregnancy fashion, and even some more private, subdued family moments quietly anticipating little Cali's arrival. A sweet photo on Father's Day showed her baby bump cradled by hubby Shepard's hand with the caption, "I can’t wait to see them together ❤️ Happy Fathers Day to all the dads and dads to be! We love you PAPA @sterl_shep3."
New dad Shepard wasn't one to hold back, either. The 24-year-old proud papa couldn't seem to wait to share his happiness with the world and also took to his Instagram account to echo his wife's joy upon the arrival of their new baby girl. Sharing an adorable photo of the brand new family of three with little Cali's sleeping face resting comfortably on her mom's chest, he captioned, "Everything I do is for you two. My world!"
While little Cali's arrival may have been a bit of a surprise (she arrived just shy of 39 weeks), Iman and Shepard knew well in advance that they would be welcoming a new little princess in August of this year. During her baby shower in Oklahoma back in June, Iman revealed that they were expecting a little girl, announcing the news via Instagram as she and Shepard posed together on a pink couch surrounded by vases of pink flowers.
