Christina Milian and her boyfriend Matt Pokora just announced via social media that they’re expecting their first child together!
The singer-actress broke the news to her fans by uploading a photo of herself and her boyfriend to social media. In the cute shot, Matt is holding a sonogram photo over his girlfriend’s growing baby bump. The parents-to-be are beaming with happiness in the photo, which has gotten almost a million likes since it was posted.
“New release 2020! What a blessing!” Christina captioned the photograph. “Let’s do this babe @mattpokora!” Matt also shared a black-and-white version of the same photo to his social medias. “Legacy on the way! #HappypMan” he wrote. Matt is a French musician, though he moved to Los Angeles to be closer to his girlfriend last year.
Christina and Maatt have been together since 2017, and though they like to keep things on the down-low, the songstress couldn’t help but gush over her man earlier this year.
“I’m really happy with the type of person I’m with. He’s honest, and we have a really great relationship,” she told Hollywood Life. “This is different than anything I’ve ever experienced and I’m really happy that the universe brought us together,” she said.
Even more telling, Christina added that she hoped to have kids with her beau in the future. Given that the interview was published in May, it’s likely the singer was already pregnant at the time. “I do have the desire to have more children in the future,” she explained. “Probably just one more because I know the energy it takes to raise a child. I know that I just want to be able to experience each child, which is a gift.”
However, this pregnancy might be the last one for Christina. In the same interview, she added that she always thought two kids would be her perfect number. “Probably just one more because I know the energy it takes to raise a child. While this will be the first child for Matt, Christina already has a 9-year old daughter, Violet. The celebrity gave birth to her daughter in 2009, mere months after she had tied the knot with producer and musician, The Dream.
In 2010, Christina admitted that her first pregnancy was a surprise, but a happy one nonetheless. “The pregnancy was a surprise, but they were getting married regardless,” she explained. Christina and The Dream ended up divorcing in 2011.
