Claire Danes Delivers Her Second Baby With Hugh Dancy

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy welcome their second baby after keeping a part of the pregnancy to themselves.

The beautiful Claire Danes just gave birth to her second child!

Danes announced her pregnancy in April of 2018. She announced that she was pregnant on the Howard Stern Show. She said, "I'm seriously preggo. I'm deep into my second trimester." Of course Stern tried to get her to reveal more about her pregnancy, but she refused to divulge any more information. He even tried to get her to reveal the sex of the baby and she said, "I am just going to keep that to myself." Nice try Howard, but she wanted to keep a little part of her pregnancy a secret. Danes acknowledges that as a celebrity, people always know her business. Danes decided that she wanted a part of the pregnancy to be private and something that her and her husband shared together.

Danes and her husband, Hugh Dancy, welcomed their second child on August 27th, 2018. We are all so excited for her and her new little baby boy! Danes and Dancy have not yet told us the name, but we are all dying to know what they will call the cute little guy!

Danes and Dancy also have a five year old boy named Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy together. Cyrus was born in December of 2012. We have no doubt, of course, that he will be a wonderful big brother to the new baby!

It will be interesting to see how quickly Danes goes back to work now that she has a little newborn at home. Back in 2013, she said it was very difficult when she decided to return back to her role on Homeland. She told an interviewer, "...it was exhausting but also exhilarating. I had just come out of my mommy cocoon and my cushy, mushy love planet. So entering that mania at that point was not as enjoyable." Danes certainly doesn't shy away from explaining the hard sides of motherhood. She admitted that motherhood can be extremely challenging. She went on to tell the interviewer, "...you always feel beholden to somebody...And for so long they're like koala bears, you just feel a physical responsibility to be there for them to cling to. It's pretty primal."

We are very excited for Danes and Dancy and their new little baby boy. We wish them the best and we hope that they really enjoy their beautiful new child.
