CNN's Chloe Melas Gives Birth To Her Second Baby Boy

Chloe Melas and her husband, Brian Mazza, welcomed their second baby boy!

Chloe Melas, from CNN, shares her journey of having her second child. The couple shares that although they are very happy about their two perfect sons it was not an easy journey. They would certainly do it all over again for their kids. Melas and Mazza got married in October 2014. Two years after they got married they decided to start trying for a baby. They had no idea that it was going to be so hard and that it wouldn't just come naturally. They went through fertility testing and they learned that Mazza had a low sperm count and she had a reduced ovarian reserve. With both complications, it was going to be extremely difficult for them to have a child.

Melas said that she was very depressed and thought that she would never be able to be a mother and have biological children. She thought that she would never have the chance to carry her own child. It was a very difficult time for her mentally. They first tried medicated intrauterine insemination (IUI). After three unsuccessful rounds, they gave up on that method. The couple decided to turn to In vitro-fertilization (IVF) to help them conceive their first child. The first round was successful and they were able to conceive their first child Leo. When the couple decided to have more children they tried for a few months naturally and then turned to one round of IUI. Both of which were not successful. The couple yet again turned to IVF.  The treatment was successful and they got pregnant with their second child.

The couple announced their pregnancy back in December with a sweet gender reveal to announce they would be having another little boy. Their second child was born on July 5. They named him Luke Alessandro. He weighed 7lbs 8oz and he was 21.6 inches long. Both mother and baby are doing great and they are healthy and happy. After the birth of their second child, Melas wants everybody to know that sometimes your goals are very hard to achieve. Not everything is an easy road, but if it's something you really want then the road is totally worth it!
