Baby Hurd must have gotten the hint from his mother’s eviction notice dance because he is finally here! Country singer Maren Morris delivered her son, Hayes Andrew Hurd, on March 23 with her husband Ryan Hurd in Nashville, Tennessee. Everyone seems to be happy, healthy, and full of love.

Morris, Hurd, and their fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this little man since October 2019. However, Morris hasn’t just been sitting around knitting booties since announcing her pregnancy. She still continued to tour and perform at concerts around the country, with her last performance at a rodeo in Houston, Texas. Fans loved seeing her growing baby bump while she sang, and she would comment on how active he was while she performed. According to PEOPLE, she was planning on having a concert six weeks after Hayes was born, but now that will be postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Now, she and her baby will just enjoy their time at home in his cozy nursery.

Both Morris and Hurd announced the arrival of Hayes on their Instagram accounts and the pictures are simply dreamy. Baby Hayes is wrapped up tight in a swaddle with vintage ducks keeping him company in his bassinet. Morris captioned her pictures with, “Love of our lives”. Hurd post a picture of Hayes with his eyes wide open and several people have commented by saying, “So alert!” and “He’s adorable!” We hope that this little family is enjoying all the snuggles they can get while spending time at home!

In previous online posts, Hurd has mentioned how much he was looking forward to having a baby with Morris. This past Valentine’s Day, he wrote a sweet message to Morris that explained how this would be their last Valentine’s Day just as the two of them, but that would not be a bad thing. He wrote, “There will probably be less of a party and more finger-painted cards that are illegible but still stay on the fridge for far too long”. Hurd continued on to thank his wife for carrying their baby how “it has made [him] love her more”. Also, something special that PEOPLE pointed out is that little Hayes’ middle name is in honor of Hurd’s younger brother who died in a car accident when he was 16 years old.
