We didn’t think Jason Momoa or his family could get any cooler- well, that is until he posted this. In honour of Father’s Day, the Game of Thrones actor posted a video featuring a Harley Davidson motorcycle he and his two children recently built together.

In a video exclusively posted to People.com, the actor and his two children, 11-year old Lola and 10-year old Nakoa-Wolf, talked about how they built the impressive bike from scratch. He revealed that his wife, actress Lisa Bonet, was initially resistant to the project. But with a little persuasion, he was able to get her onboard.

“My wife was like, ‘You’re not allowed to ride with the kids on the bike, absolutely not.’ I went, ‘What if I built the kids a sidecar?'” Momoa said in the video. “She goes, ‘I’ll think about it.'” In the video, the celebrity is seen teaching his young kids how to properly sit on and ride the bike.

Momoa has been married to Bonet since 2017, although they’d already been together for a decade at that point, as they started dating in 2005. For many years, it was believed the two had tied the knot all the way back in 2007, as they’d often referred to each other as husband and wife. However, it wasn’t until October of 2017 that they revealed online they’d officially sealed the deal. Their daughter was born in 2007, while their son was born in 2008. Momoa is also a step-father to Bonet’s adult daughter, Zoe Kravitz, whose father is musician Lenny Kravtiz.

Momoa went on to describe the bike as a “family heirloom,” explaining that this wasn’t something he was able to do in his childhood since he grew up without a father. “It’s something that’s very dear for me. And just being able to do that with my children,” he explained. “I was from a single mother who taught me many, many, many things but I didn’t grow up with a father-figure who I was wrenching on cars with.”

The Aquaman star added that his son will inherit the Harley, while his daughter has already been promised his other motorcycle, Mabel, which he named after his grandmother. “Those are the heirlooms,” he continued. “All I have is being at home and being a papa. I don’t want them to know me as my job. I just wanted to build a Harley with my kids.” We’re sure his children will always look fondly back at this experience!
