Dale Earnhardt Jr. And Wife Celebrate The Arrival Of A Baby Girl

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy have just announced the arrival of their baby girl, whom they have named Isla Rose Earnhardt.

The happy parents introduced the world to their new addition on May 1st, via Twitter. Amy posted, "She’s finally here! and I are officially parents to a beautiful baby girl, Isla Rose Earnhardt. It feels like a dream. The best dream ever".

Earnhardt Jr. has been keeping his fans updated on all things pregnancy related on Twitter, too. His tweets cover an array of parenting topics that are so common that many other parents have been able to relate.

In a tweet from October of last year, Dale Jr. showed his followers a photo of pink and white sneakers with the caption, "Excited to share the wonderful news that @mrsamyearnhardt and I are expecting our first child. A little girl!!!! We are both thrilled and can’t wait to meet her".

Earnhardt Jr., 43, is a former NASCAR driver. He began dating his wife, Amy, in 2008 and the couple were wed on New Year's Eve of 2016.

In an interview with Nascar.com, Dale explained how becoming a parent was already pulling at his heart strings. He discussed how he and Amy were touring the maternity ward of their chosen hospital when the the reality of the situation hit him.

He said, “They took us into one of the rooms and they showed us where the delivery room island they’ve got that little table there and damn, I about choked up doing that. The baby ain’t even here and I’m looking at this little table and I’m getting choked up like she’s here”. It's so refreshing to see a father who is not afraid to show his soft side.

For Dale, racing is in his blood. His father, Dale Earnhardt Sr., is a NASCAR Hall of Famer. Sadly, Earnhardt Sr. passed away in 2001, during his final lap of the Daytona 500. Earnhardt Jr. is making sure that he does not share the same fate. Dale Jr. announced his retirement last year, surprising fans with the news that the season would be his last. He left NASCAR with a host of accomplishments including being named NASCAR's most popular driver for 14 seasons in a row, and several Daytona 500 titles.

We can't wait to hear more about baby Isla Rose Earnhardt, and watch this adorable family develop!
