Orange is the New Black star Danielle Brook has a lot of exciting things planned in the near future- and we’re not just talking about the arrival of her first child.
The actress made two exciting announcements. First, she revealed the gender of her unborn baby. But perhaps even more exciting, Danielle has also revealed she’ll be hosting a new Netflix original show called A Little Bit Pregnant.
“This is all you need to know: Netflix Family YouTube series A Little Bit Pregnant,” the 30-year old said in a video clip shared with People. In the clip, she raised her shirt to show off her growing baby bump. “Actually, I’m a lotta bit pregnant,” she continued. “Doulas, midwives, experts — I’m gonna be talking to them all. First up: my baby shower.”
The highly anticipated show is a four-part series that will debut on Netflix’s YouTube Channel. It will also be available on Netflix Family’s social media accounts. The show will follow Danielle’s experience with pregnancy and will explore opinions and advice from a variety of professionals. Topics will include everything from post-partum recovery to what’s safe to eat during pregnancy. Each episode will be between 8 to 10 minutes.
The video went on to preview several scenes from the upcoming series, including Danielle’s baby shower. One clip shows the actress and her boyfriend arriving at the event in all-white outfits. The pair later sat on a golden throne as they watched their guests enjoy the party. Later on at the event, the parents-to-be announced their little one’s gender. A group of dancers put on a performance before setting off cannons that blasted pink confetti into the air, confirming Danielle is expecting a little girl.
Danielle announced her pregnancy this past July shortly after the final season of Orange is the New Black was released. “So, elated to finally share this news with you all. I’m happily pregnant!” she captioned a photo of herself on Instagram featuring a positive Clear Blue pregnancy test. She later shared the same photo to her story, this time with the caption, “When one chapter ends, another begins.”
The actress has always been relatively private about her personal life, so not much is known about her boyfriend. Though she’s shared various photos of her mystery man online, fans are still in the dark about his name let alone his profession. But if one thing is clear, the couple looks madly in love. Danielle is set to give birth sometime in November.
