It's now an official full house for Daphne Oz and husband John Jovanovic! The couple welcomed their fourth child, a daughter, on Wednesday, August 14.
The MasterChef Junior judge gave birth to a baby girl, whom she named Giovanna Ines Jovanovic at 9:03 p.m. The newborn measured 21 inches and weighed 8 pounds and 5 ounces. Giovanna will be shortened to "Gigi" for a nickname. Oz told People that her pregnancy with Giovanna has been her "hardest pregnancy physically."
Because of the toll that this pregnancy took on Oz, she made sure to take extra care of herself in other ways whether it was to pamper herself or wear an extra cute outfit, "feeling good in her skin" was the key to beat the pregnancy blues.
The 33-year-old mother, who married husband John Jovanovic in 2010, has been pregnant four times in five years. While the couple is overjoyed with their four children, Philomena "Philo" Bijou", 5, Jovan, 3, Domenica Celine, 20 months and now infant Giovanna Ines, Oz says that her body is ready for a pregnancy break.
While she was pregnant with Giovanna, she kept plenty busy whether she was joining the judges' panel on MasterChef Junior with Aarón Sanchez and Gordon Ramsay or sharing photos of her gender reveal lasagna to People Magazine alongside her father, Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Oz has always done creative gender reveals with her previous pregnancies but yes – Giovanna's gender reveal actually entailed Oz cutting into a dish of lasagna that had pink-dyed cheese.
After Giovanna's birth, Oz shared a photo on Instagram of the entire Jovanovic family on Oz's hospital bed with Oz holding baby Gigi, while oldest daughter Philo looked at the baby sweetly. She also shared a very touching photo of son Jovan holding his baby sister on his lap gently touching her forehead and leaning down to kiss her.
Only time will tell if Oz means that she wants a permanent pregnancy break and is done growing her family or if she and hubby John are just taking a temporary break.
