Drake is a proud father showing off the paintings of his son, and who wouldn’t if the son is just 20-month old and he does such adorable artwork?
On this Father’s Day, the 32-year-old musician, actor, and entrepreneur, Aubrey Drake Graham was gifted with a beautiful painting that read 'Papa' from his only son Adonis. The child's art had the word 'Papa' stencilled out with his painting around it. He proudly shared it on Instagram with the caption, 'Happy Father's Day.'
This is not the first time Drake has updated artwork of his son Adonis. Last year Christmas, he uploaded another painting on Instagram captioning, 'Adonis > Picasso don't @me.’
The knack of painting is something that the kid has inherited from his mother, who herself is a great painter. According to TMZ, Sophie has been 'exposing Adonis to multiple languages and the arts as well.'
While it's not yet confirmed whether Drake spent the day with his son Adonis or not, it is reported that the couple shares a healthy co-parenting relationship. Due to his hectic work schedule, the rapper doesn’t live with Sophie or Adnois. But, whenever possible, he sends private jets to the mother-son duo so that they can join him. And to continue their strong bonding, he makes sure to FaceTimes his son every day.
Adonis is his first child with French model and artist Sophie Brussaux, whom they welcomed to this world in October 2018. Neither during the pregnancy period nor after the birth of the child has he been very outspoken about his relationship with Sophie. It was only eight months after their baby's birth that he confirmed it on his album Scorpion with some significant lyrics.
“Yesterday morning was crazy / I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe / That s–t is in stone, sealed and signed / She not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine,” he rapped. “[My mom] Sandi used to tell me all it takes is one time, and all it took was one time / [...] we only met two times, two times.”
Drake, who invited Brussaux to be his guest at one of his recent concerts, has been quite open about improving his relationship with her. He said, “I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, we’ve had our moments.” He also added, “No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy.”
Drake’s father Dennis Graham has spoken to US magazine on how fatherhood has changed his son for the better and the father-son love is already very vibrant. He also said Drake “didn’t need” to give the Toronto native fatherhood advice because “he’s got love on his heart. That’s all you need with a baby.”
