They might be royals, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get to enjoy a good pint just like the rest of us. As a matter of fact, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle proved what kind of traditional Londoners they are by taking their son, Archie Harrison, to a local pub for a family-friendly and very low-key lunch.
According to Parade Magazine, Harry and Meghan did what most British families do when they have a little spare time on the weekend- hit their local pub. It’s not only a place where you can meet up with your local neighbors, but it's also somewhere that you can spend quality time as a family. That's exactly what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did recently.

The Duke of Sussex made a special visit to Sheffield today to see workers, academics and students doing their part to help their community. At Sheffield Children’s Hospital, The Duke supported the opening of a new wing that extends the resources available to patients and their families. This was an especially meaningful visit both publicly and personally as The Duke signed the visitors book that his mother, Diana Princess of Wales signed in 1989. At Sheffield Hallam University The Duke celebrated the incredible teaching and research staff and saw firsthand their Virtual Reality rehabilitation project. He also met with youth activists and academics working with the World Health Organisation and the UN to develop new technology to assist in aid work during crises around the world. Today was a prime example of just how many people work tirelessly behind the scenes to make this world better for others. We all have the opportunity to do something impactful every single day. “Nature needs your care. Animals need your attention. People need your light. The world needs your love... How can you make a difference in the world? Help one person at a time.” Matshona Dhliwayo Photo©️PA images / Empics - Doug Peters
Reports say that Harry and Meghan were spotted having a Sunday lunch at a local pub called The Rose & Crown that's only a few miles away from their home at Frogmore Cottage. One eyewitness says that Meghan was cradling little Archie at the table, and that the youngest member of the British royal family was “as good as gold.”
If that weren’t enough, the source also revealed that despite being household names, many of the other patrons didn’t even recognize Harry and Meghan. The staff, however, figured out who they wer,e but didn’t give them any extraordinary service. Instead, they kept everything low key so that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could enjoy family time without any interference from other pub goers. It has also been noted that their Sunday lunch only cost them $12.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that a royal has been spotted enjoying a pint at a pub. Before he met and married Meghan Markle, Prince Harry was often spotted enjoying nights out with his best mates at pubs all over London. So, he has some experience visiting pubs already!
The Rose & Crown is located in the peaceful village of Winkfield, situated in the heart of rural Berkshire. Locals say that it’s a popular spot for families, and that it’s often crowded during the weekends. Seeing how these royals enjoyed their meal there, there’s a good possibility that they might return to the pub again very soon!
