The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hired their third nanny in three months! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently brought on this next nanny for help as they travel and for when they embark on their African tour in the fall.

This nanny is number three since Archie Harrison was born in May but, she seems to be the first one who is really fitting in. The first nanny was let go for being unprofessional and the second nanny was nights-only and was never there for a full-time position. Meghan herself has been reported to be a very hands-on mom doing much of the childcare herself alongside Harry who took paternity leave. Her mother, Doria Ragland, is also said to be helping the new parents out.

The Sun had this royal news as well as exclusive photos of the nanny boarding a private plane with the family last week. If all goes well, this is the one who will go on their Royal tour. The Duke and Duchess plan on bringing Archie (another stray from royal tradition) with them so they will need all the help they can get.

Having three nannies in three months has raised some eyebrows but with the criticism, there is understanding. A nanny is a highly personal position caring for the most precious member of their family. Essentially, a royal nanny needs to be absolutely perfect. Like Mary Poppins perfect. It isn't unusual to go through a few nannies before finding the best fit for you and your child.

Critics liken this situation to their high turnover rate for other positions working for them as family. They've had many employees let go or quit in just a year.  For example, Meghan has lost two personal assistants, female bodyguards, and a longtime secretary who had been with the  Royal family for seventeen years. The true reasons are unknown so it's all just speculation.

Harry's brother William and his wife Duchess Kate got lucky with their nanny. They hired Maria Teresa Turrion who has been with the family since George, now six, was eight months old. She has cared for both Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and is often seen out and about.

Archie deserves the same and we hope this nanny is the perfect fit for them all. We'll see what happens when they go to Africa in the fall.
