There must be something in the water over at Dancing With The Stars because Witney Carson just announced the exciting news that she is expecting her first baby!

Carson, and her husband, Carson McAllister, announced yesterday via Instagram that they were expecting a baby, due next year. This is the first child for the high school sweethearts and both are over the moon excited with the news.

The DWTS pro made the announcement holding a picture of the sonogram and a positive pregnancy test while hugging McAllister. Her face shows just how excited she is to be a mother-to-be, with a smile that goes from ear to ear. Carson also shared that she was 15-weeks along, via "#15weekspregnant," meaning she is out of the first trimester and moving her way along into the second.

Carson and McAllister have been married since New Year's Day 2016. The couple, who has been together since they were young, got engaged six months after McAllister returned from a missionary calling in Romania, and were married three months after getting engaged. While that day was one of the most exciting ones to date for the couple, finding out that they are expecting a little one is what the professional dancer has called "the most exciting news of our entire lives."

Though the couple is not sure exactly how many children they would like to have, according to People, in 2018, Carson said that having "three or four would be a safe number to say," though she was not putting limitations on the number the couple could have.

For McAllister, however, four seems to be happy number. "As long as we get both genders, I'll be happy," he stated on Carson's Valentine's Day vlog.

What is even more special about this pregnancy, is that Carson is pregnant at the same time that best friend, as well as current Dancing With The Stars pro, is, Lindsay Arnold.

Arnold and Carson have been friends since their early days in dance classes. Though they did not go to the same schools, their mothers would have playdates after dance classes. As such, the girls have grown up together.

They two have also followed the same career path, as after high school, Carson and Arnold decided to audition for So You Think You Can Dance. Arnold went on to win the competition with Carson being the second runner up, but it was enough to get both to the set of DWTS, where they have been competitively dancing since.

These days, with Arnold being further along in her pregnancy, having announced she was expecting in May, Carson is likely finding out what worked and what did not for Arnold thus far in her pregnancy journey and using those tips for as smooth of a pregnancy that she can have. After all, what better advice to get than that from a best friend?!
