Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper is pregnant with her second child. Kemper and husband Michael Koman — who already have a 2-year-old son, James — are expecting again.

The star, 39, revealed the pregnancy on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live after the late-night host teased her for missing the party he threw for the cast of Live in Front a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s All in the Family and The Jeffersons.

According to E! News, Kemper's stylist, Jessica Paster, had also shared the happy news, on Instagram after Kemper attended the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt event on Wednesday, May 29. Paster had styled Ellie in a red snakeskin dress by The Kooples. "You ace it every time, Jess!!!" the star had commented.

Kemper has been married to Michael Koman, comedian and television writer and producer, since 2012. Kemper and the writer then welcomed son James, who is now almost 3. The actress had also revealed her first pregnancy on late-night television, breaking the big news on The Tonight Show to Jimmy Fallon in April 2016. She revealed how motherhood has impacted her day-to-day by saying, "Ever since becoming a mother, I thought that I would become more mature with this greater responsibility. But I go to bed at 7:30, and usually I've eaten dinner by 5."

In March 2018, Kemper had opened up to Us Weekly about the challenges of parenthood  . Two months later, Kemper praised James’ progress. “He’s a genius,” she said. “I can’t believe how he’s mastered all of these words already. In the past week, he’s started imitating, mimicking words that I say. He says them right back to me and I think he’s the smartest person on the planet.”

“It is incredible how quickly everything changes,” she added at the time.
