Actress Erika Christensen is pregnant with her second child!
The Parenthood alum used Instagram to share the good news that she and her husband Cole Maness were expanding their family. They are already parents to daughter Shane, age 2. In fact, their toddler actually helped Christensen with her social media pregnancy reveal.
In a series of Instagram posts the actress not only debuted her baby bump for the first time, but Shane shared that she would be a big sister. Kicking off her posts was a photo of the 35-year old looking gorgeous in a low cut red jumpsuit. There was no sign of a baby bump at all. However, as Christensen made the reveal, all she had to do was change up her angles. She turned to the side, still wearing the same outfit and proudly displayed her growing baby bump.
Christensen also used Instagram stories to spread her good news. This time though, she was not sporting her baby bump. Instead she let Shane spread the word by having her wear a “big sister” t-shirt. The actress instructed her followers to take a look at the shirt to make sure they understood that she was announcing her pregnancy.
We cannot wait to hear more details about Erika Christensen and Cole Maness' growing family! The actress and the cyclist wed in a gorgeous beach wedding in September of 2015. They welcomed Shane in June of 2016 with a Twitter announcement from the first time mom sharing that she was in labor.
The fact that Christensen shared her pregnancy news on social media was quite different from how she handled going public with her first pregnancy. There was no formal announcement or social media news. She and Maness simply showed up on the red carpet for her film Confirmation in March of 2016 with her baby bump on display. However, once it was public, she did document the last few months of pregnancy online, including the couple’s Hawaii "babymoon".
Life is about to get more fun, exciting, crazy, hectic and lovable for Erika, Cole and little Shane! The new addition to their family will make his or her arrival later this fall.
