While Eva Longoria certainly has had a lot of roles in her life, there’s one that is definitely the most important to her: being a mom. The Hollywood actress and her husband Jose Baston recently celebrated their son Santiago Baston’s first birthday. Longoria also marked the occasion by sharing sweet pics of her son’s party on her Instagram account for her fans.
According to the Today Show, Longoria explained that she couldn’t believe how fast her first year of motherhood has gone by. As a matter of fact, she also shared a sweet message for her son Santiago while also realizing that he’s not a little baby anymore.
In the photo, a smiling Longoria can be seen holding her baby boy in her arms. In her caption, she said that it was surreal to realize that her baby is officially a toddler and that everyday he manages to put a big smile on her face. The Desperate Housewives alumni wrote, “Having this beautiful soul to wake up to every morning and to put to bed every night has been magical. Every laugh and giggle that comes out of your mouth and every smile that crosses your face has been pure joy! Thank you for choosing me as your mamá! I love you amor mio! Happy Birthday Santi baby!”
A lot of Eva Longoria’s celebrity friends also shared their well wishes for the tot, including Longoria’s best friends Victoria Beckham, Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, and Brooke Shields.
If that weren’t enough, Longoria and Baston also took Santiago to Disneyland in Anaheim, California for his first visit with Mickey Mouse. From what we can tell, Santiago – dressed in a smart Mickey vest himself – looked delighted to be visiting the big mouse. Because Eva Longoria is just like so many moms out there who loves to take numerous photos of her baby boy each day, she shared yet another post of Santiago enjoying a midday snack of Cheerios at home. Longoria herself said that there are just so many photos from the past year that she couldn’t help but post more than one.
And while Santiago might be the first child for the 44-year-old actress, he’s actually the fourth child for Baston. Longoria shared a sweet Father’s Day tribute to her husband earlier in the month, calling him one of the kindest, most compassionate people she knows. She also said that he has been an amazing father to his three children before little Santi’s arrival.
