Eva Longoria is one actress and celebrity who truly loves being a mom. As a matter of fact, a day doesn’t go by that she doesn’t gush about her adorable son Santiago during a media interview, or shares a photo of him on her social media accounts. This time around, she shared an adorable picture of her baby boy Santi being a “tortilla monster”, according to the actress.
Apparently, Santi is super into Spanish cuisine, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone! With a mom like Eva Longoria who loves to cook up many culinary delights in the kitchen, it’s without a doubt that the tot will grow up not only loving his mother’s favorite Mexican food, but great, organic and healthy meals everyday. Talk about a lucky kid!
In the pic, the one-year-old can be seen sitting in his high chair while eating scrambled eggs and little pieces of breakfast sausage. But it’s the tortilla that Santi apparently loved the most. What a cutie, right?
In Eva’s cookbook, Eva’s Kitchen: Cooking With Love For Family & Friends, the 44-year-old actress did say that a lot of her favorite family recipes include tortillas. One of her more popular dishes is enchiladas rojas- a dish that she called a “family affair” while growing up.
Eva told HOLA! USA in an interview last year, “On enchilada night, my sisters and I knew we would be called upon to take our positions alongside our mom in the kitchen: one sister fried the tortillas, another dipped them in the sauce, another (usually me) stuffed them, and the last rolled and transferred them to the pan. I can never think about enchiladas without remembering all those happy times in the kitchen."
Going back to son Santi, Eva also says that he was meant to be with her during this stage of life. That’s because as a parent she’s got more patience, she’s working less and therefore has more time to dedicate to her family. All in all, she says that motherhood came at a perfect time for her, even though some critics might regard it as too late. Either way, she wants to make sure that she raises Santi with the same values she and husband Jose Baston have. So far she says she’s doing the best she can!
She also told the publication, “I feel that there’s more pressure to raise a good man today and to make sure he contributes to society and understands female equality, but it’s not about telling him. It’s about showing him in his everyday life.”
