Eva Mendes Calls Raising Two Daughters With Ryan Gosling 'Maddening'

Due to his relatively private lifestyle, few may guess that the infamous Ryan Gosling has children- two children in fact! His partner and the mother of his children, Eva Mendes, shares that it's not always easy parenting their two daughters, Esmeralda, 5, and Amada, 3.

Describing the experience as "maddening", Mendes connects with many other moms of two or more children saying that it's the hardest thing in the world but at the end of the day, it's so rewarding. "[We] put them to bed and Ryan and I kind of look at each other like, 'We did it, we did it. We came out relatively unscathed."

Mendes, 45, points out in an interview with Access Daily that she is beyond grateful at the chance to stay home with her little girls. Although living in chaos daily, the actress is thankful that she and Gosling are stable enough financially that she can be a part of the little moments every day.

With the girls out of the media's eye, Mendes explains that they are just like any other girls their age. "They just like a lot of arts and crafts, a lot of painting," she says. Mendes also mentions the girls' love of music as well, and just like other girls their age they can be quite the handful. Mendes describes motherhood pretty accurately when she says that "it's fun and beautiful and maddening."

The Place Beyond the Pines costars find date nights few and hard to come by but when they do have the chance to go out, even after all these years and after having children, their love continues to blossom. To help them out, their families are very supportive and helpful. "My family lives here. His family comes in [from Canada]... and it's very welcomed," Mendes explains. When family is around they give the couple a chance to take a step back from their roles as parents and remember who they are together; something that's crucial to any relationship!

Amidst their busy schedules between work and raising children, Mendes says she would love to be able to act again with Gosling. "He's just such a creative genius. There's always stuff going on there, but I would love to at any time." Hopefully, the two will find time in their busy lives to get back on screen together and we will see them again soon.
