A woman in Texas gave birth in a Chick-fil-A bathroom, and the restaurant is now setting the baby up for life.
Robert Griffin shared the unbelievable story on Facebook. He and his wife, who he called Maggie in the post, were on their way to the hospital to have their little girl. The bag was packed, and the car was loaded up. They just had to make one quick pit stop. No, they did not stop at the fast-food chain to grab a quick bite to eat. They were meeting friends who were going to watch their other children.
The drop off was in front of a Chick-fil-A. While Robert got the kids all settled with friends, Maggie had to use the bathroom. Despite the restaurant being closed, the manager allowed her to use the restroom. Robert went in to check on his wife but was not at all prepared for what was about to happen. The manager told him the baby was not waiting.
He jumped into action, all while making sure his wife knew everything would be just fine even though their baby was being born in a bathroom stall at Chick-fil-A. There was one little hiccup with the cord, it was wrapped around the baby's neck, but Robert kept calm. He did not alert his wife to what was going on but instead carefully fixed the cord. Moments later Gracelyn Mae Violet Griffin was born. Her birth certificate even names the restaurant as her place of birth and her father as the attending physician.
Mom and baby are doing fine but Maggie, whose real name is Fallon Griffin, told the local news her entire pregnancy with Gracelyn was considered high-risk. Therefore considering the risk, having the baby at a fast food restaurant with no complications was a real miracle.
The story went viral, and Chick-fil-A has now made some pretty hefty promises to the newborn. Not only can she eat free there for the rest of her life, when she turns 14 Gracelyn is guaranteed a job at the restaurant. It was an offer made by the local franchise, whose owners are already planning on having the baby's 1st birthday party there.
Women have given birth in some pretty exciting places. Now the Chick-fil-A bathroom can be added to that list. Congrats to the Griffin family!
