If you have been following the pregnancy of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry then you have definitely heard that they gave birth earlier this week. You also have probably heard that Meghan was able to deliver a healthy little baby boy! You may, or may not have heard that they named their sweet little baby boy "Archie Harrison." The baby name has received quite a bit of controversy from various fans and even celebrities. Whenever you are famous you have to be prepared to hear shamers about everything that you do with your baby. The biggest criticism with the name is it didn't reflect well with his royal status.
George Clooney, a close friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, had a comedic take on the baby name. Clooney said that he didn't mind the name "Archie" he said that it was a "good name" and it was "better than Jughead." Of course, referring to the popular comic.
Clooney said that the only thing he didn't like about the Royal Baby was that the baby was born on his 58th birthday and so the little guy was "stealing his thunder." Clooney told Ellen Degeneres while on her show! The crowd laughed. Of course, Clooney didn't really care if the baby was born on his birthday. He is very close to the royal couple and wouldn't mind having the little guy share his special day.
Amy Poehler also had her thoughts about the name "Archie." She shared that she was so excited to hear the name of the baby because she has always loved that name. Who cares if it's not a "royal" name? Poehler has a 10-year-old boy named Archie and Poehler said that her son was very excited to share his name with the royal baby.
