Congratulations are in order for the former Gossip Girl actress, Jessica Szohr, who is expecting her first child. She will be welcoming her child with long time boyfriend, professional hockey player, Brad Richardson. Jessica Szohr became a household name after getting the main role of Vanessa Abrams on the hit teen drama series, Gossip Girl. She hasn't been in the spotlight much lately, but does have a consistent amount of role coming in. Now it looks like she will be taking on the role of mom!
According to CNN, Szohr announced she will be expecting her first child in an Instagram post that she shared on September 23. "Full of joy!", she captioned the black and white picture that included her with a huge smile on her face and Richardson leaning towards her growing bump. People also reported that Szohr shared the exact photo to her Instagram stories with the caption "Surprise!".
The actress's announcement quickly got the attention of her many celebrity friends. Twilight actress, Ashley Greene, took to Shozr's Instagram comment section to say, "Holy congrats!! I'm so so happy for you." Fellow actress, Claire Holt, who just welcomed a baby girl, expressed her excitement by the news. "Yayayayayayyyyy!", Holt commented. Szohr's Kingdom costar also left a sweet message, "Best news of 2020,". Szohr got so much love for the announcement of her child.
Szohr is constantly showing her love for her boyfriend, Richardson, on social media. In January, she shares this sweet tribute to the now father of her child. "My beach bum baby! I am thankful for you today and every day...I am lucky to have crossed paths with him!", she shared the adorable message alongside a photo of her and Richardson sitting by the beach leaning against each other. Richardson, who plays for The Arizona Coyotes, first appeared in an Instagram photo from last April at Stagecoach of the two looking at each other with both of them dressed in country attire. "This is :) #stagecoaching", she captioned the image with an American flag in front of the smiley face. Clearly, this couple cannot take their eyes off each other!
Szohr and Richardson are about the embark on the most amazing journey of their lives: parenthood! While it may seem daunting, this couple seems to be very in love and will show that love to their expecting bundle of joy. Congratulations to Jessica and Brad on this wonderful news!
