Grandparents hold a special place in the family and they deserve to be celebrated! Grandparents Day is celebrated each year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. There are a lot of fun and creative ways you can help your toddler celebrate the special grandparents in their life. Here are a few crafts your kids can do that grandparents will love!

Family Flower

This craft by Learning Resources is a fun way for kids to tell their grandparents everything they love about them. All you need is construction paper in a few different colors, glue, markers, scissors, and a popsicle stick. Cut out petals from the construction paper, then have your kid write something they love about their grandparents on each petal (you can write it if your kids can't quite write yet). Also, cut out a circle for the center of the flower and glue it on the top of the popsicle stick. Then glue the petals onto the circle and you have a fun family flower!

Butterfly Feet

HeyThatsHolly has a great tutorial on how to make a butterfly out of your child's footprints. You'll need a blank canvas, paint, paintbrush, and a marker. Paint your child's foot with your color of choice; you can paint the entire foot one color, or paint the bottom half and top half different colors. Then, firmly place the foot onto the canvas to make the footprint. Be sure to put the right foot on the left side of the picture, and the left foot on the right side, so it will look more like butterfly wings. Use the marker to draw in the butterfly's body in the middle. This is a creative keepsake every grandparent will love.

I Love You This Much

Show grandparents just how much they are loved with this fun craft. According to the Activity Mom, you need two sheets of red paper, a strip of white paper, glue, and a marker. Trace one of your child's hands on each of the pieces of paper and cut them out. Write "I Love You" on one of the hands and decorate the other hand. Write "This Much" on the strip of white paper, then fold it several times so it looks like an accordion. Glue red cutout hands on either side of the strip of paper, and voila, you have a cute lovable gift. It's like sending a virtual hug!

Handprint Hearts

This is an easy craft you can do with children of any age. All you need is some red paint, a paintbrush, and some paper. Project Nursery has a free printable of a heart outline and a sweet poem. Then, paint your kids' hands with the red paint and place them inside the heart. That's it! Grandparents will love it!

Handprint Garden

Country Living has an easy way to capture all of the grandkids in one craft. You'll need a piece of paper, paint, and a paintbrush. Have your children paint a flower stem for each grandchild in the family. Then, paint one had from each child and place it on top of the stem, so it becomes the flower. Write each child's name on their corresponding handprint, and you have a grandchildren handprint garden. Grandparents will love looking at it and being reminded of all their grandchildren, even if they live far away.

Happy crafting! The love your parents or in-laws will feel from your kids will be undeniable no matter what they choose to send.
