Everywhere people look, they are bombarded with news about the coronavirus. Daily updates about how many new cases there are, the fatalities, more restrictions that are put on people as far as activity and being able to leave their home can become overwhelming. It is no wonder that those who are in quarantine alone are having a hard time dealing with isolation, as those who are in a house filled with family are struggling too. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that people are looking for something other than just the sobering coronavirus statistics to turn to, to fill their day.
A very popular thing that people are being drawn to right now is just plain good news. Something that gives them a sense of joy, makes them realize that humanity is still good, or just a downright feel-good picture or video to lift their spirits.
One of those popular videos belongs to a baby and his Goldendoodle, snuggling for a nap.
A Goldendoodle named Samson has his own Instagram account that has had numerous pictures of the adorable pup posted over the years. Though they have always gotten a fair share of comments, a video of Samson and baby Theo has gone viral.
The particular video that has gone viral is of baby Theo taking a nap with Samson. The two are snuggling and look so peaceful, to the point where if the viewer did not know better, it appears as though Samson is a stuffed animal as opposed to a dog.
Theo's parents, Jessica and Alex believe the video has gone viral due to people wanting to distance themselves from the coronavirus and just be happy. After all, who does not want to look at a video of pure bliss?
Jessica and Alex are also pet parents to two other dogs, Charley and Shea. Baby Theo has been taking naps with one of the three dogs since he was three-months-old, of which always ends with the pup and the baby in cuddles. The naps are not very long, (15 to 30 minutes in length) but it is enough time to get some good human baby and fur baby bonding time in.
It is important to be able to take a break from the overwhelming news about the pandemic that is affecting the world at large. To be able to escape from all of the disheartening statistics that continue to worsen is important for mental health. Thank goodness for photos and videos of moments like these that can help everyone what is most important during this trying time, which is family.
