Hilaria Baldwin has revealed that she has suffered a miscarriage and lost her fifth child at four months pregnant. We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months. We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies—and we will never lose sight of this. I told Carmen and took this so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you too. I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all...but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time. I’m really devastated right now...I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say...I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear. Please no paparazzi...that’s all I ask ❤️
In her own words she honestly shares that, "Even though we are not ok right now, we will be." She asks for privacy and reveals that she of course was stunned, "I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear." Losing a baby at any stage of pregnancy is heartbreaking. It's a sad all-consuming, emotional feeling that weighs heavily. Tragically, Baldwin's loss comes in her second trimester and is her second loss of the year.
The 35-year-old yoga instructor/fitness guru has been married to Alec Baldwin, a 61-year-old Hollywood A-lister since 2012. Together, they have welcomed four children: daughter Carmen and sons Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo 17 months old. Alec also has a 24-year-old daughter, Ireland who was born in 1995 during his marriage to Kim Bassinger rounding out the Baldwin brood.
Her husband Alec Baldwin had just exclusively told US Weekly that the couple would be done adding to their family after this baby. This fifth baby was a rainbow baby after Hilaria suffered a miscarriage earlier this spring. She had announced this pregnancy on her podcast Mom Brains saying, “The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy — especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring." She went on to say how excited and grateful she was for the newest addition.
The baby lost would have been another daughter for the couple after having had three boys in a row. Baldwin has previously been very open and outspoken about being a mom and pregnancy. She spoke about her previous miscarriage to help end the stigma of not talking about them and feeling ashamed.
We hope Hilaria is able to find peace and has the support she needs. Our thoughts are with Hilaria and Alec during this heartbreaking time.
