Just this past April, Hilaria Baldwin opened up about going through a heartbreaking miscarriage not long after the birth of her and Alec’s fourth child. However, the famous mom recently admitted that she and her husband are already trying to expand their family once again.

While attending the Annual Ace Awards at Cipriani in New York City, the former fitness teacher was asked if she and Alec want more children. “They’re my favourite things in the world so why not?” the 35-year old gleefully told People. This isn’t too much of a surprise, however, as Hilaria has already said she wouldn’t let the devastation of the miscarriage stop her for trying for more children. “I’m definitely not going to end on that note. I’m going to do my very best,” she previously told the publication.

In fact, the couple may be trying for a baby girl, if Alec’s previous comments are any hint. This past February, during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres, the actor told the host, “I think she wants one more.” He added, “She wants to have a girl. She wants Carmen to have a little sister.”

While Hilaria and Alec have only one daughter together, the actor also has an adult daughter, 23-year old model Ireland Baldwin, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger. Alec and Kim were married in 1993 after meeting on the 1990 set of The Marrying Man. Their only child, Ireland, was born in 1995. However, the couple eventually separated in 2000 yet didn’t finalize their divorce until 2002. Many fans will remember the dramatic custody battle that ensued between the former couple, which has even led Alec to apologize for how he handled himself.

Alec and Hilaria began dating in 2011 and married the following year. They currently have four young children: daughter Carmen (born in 2013) and sons Rafael (born in 2015), Leonardo (born in 2016), and Romeo (born in 2018). It was only this past April that Hilaria announced she was expecting baby no. 5, only to reveal she had sadly miscarried the pregnancy a few weeks later. The celebrity said one of the reasons she decided to open up about her loss was to help normalize and remove the stigma around openness. Since then, she’s received countless praise and support from fans who appreciate her willingness to talk about such a personal topic.
