Hilary Duff is currently expecting her third child, and though she’s half-way through her pregnancy, the actress is still experiencing a myriad of uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms, including an itchy belly bump. The Younger actress has divulged what she uses to combat the itchiness in hopes of helping other mamas relieve the discomfort if experiencing the same thing.

The singer-actress revealed in an Instagram post that she’s been loving a 100% pure shea body butter from Sun Potion, PEOPLE Magazine reports. The publication adds that the body butter has incredibly sold out since Duff made her post, but it’s not the only lotion out there that aims to help reduce baby bump itchiness, a common symptom many pregnant moms experience.

According to What To Expect, moisturizing with a nourishing lotion, such as Duff’s shea body butter recommendation, is a good way to start. While it’s a temporary solution, applying the lotion liberally to the affected area can immediately relieve the need to itch. In addition to moisturizer, an over-the-counter anti-itch cream may also do the trick. In extreme cases, the publication suggests mothers may want to try a hydrocortisone cream. Using a small amount on the daily can drastically reduce the itchy feeling. Speak to your doctor if you feel this solution may be right for you.

Luckily, there are other steps expectant moms dealing with an itchy baby bump can take. Alternative treatment methods include:

  • Vitamin E Oil. Applying this to the affected area can be very healing. It doesn’t just work to reduce itchiness but can also help with stretch marks and other imperfections on your baby bump.
  • Try An Oatmeal Bath. Another natural remedy, an oatmeal bath is extremely nourishing on the skin, and will serve to moisturize you all over, not just your baby bump. Ensure the water is not too warm, however, as this can irritate sensitive skin.
  • Use A Humidifier Humidifiers release moisture into the air, making it easier to breathe. But they can also work wonders on your skin by preventing it from drying out.
