Families Can See ‘How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ Three Weeks Early, Thanks To Fandango

DreamWorks Animation has enchanted audiences for years, and one of their most beloved films has a followup heading to the silver screen. As first reported by Fandango, fans can now see the upcoming animated movie, How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, three weeks before its official nationwide release. According to the report, Fandango users will be able to access special screenings on February 2nd, giving fans an exclusive viewing of the film. For years, fans have enjoyed the adventures of young Hiccup and the adorably ferocious Night Fury dragon, Toothless. In the next installment to the series, a female Night Fury is set to join in on the adventure and mix things up, along with a series of dark challenges for Hiccup and Toothless. Currently, the film has scored a whopping 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and looks to be yet another thrilling bout of excitement for fans.

Directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, the original How to Train Your Dragon film was first released over nine years ago. The film featured Jay Baruchel as the leading role of Hiccup, while actress America Ferrera lent her voice as the fellow Viking warrior, Astrid. The film also starred Gerard Butler as Stoick, Craig Ferguson as Gobber, and Kristen Wiig as Ruffnut. A beloved family-friendly adventure, the movie focused on Hiccup and his Viking family found on the Island of Berk.

Young and ambitious, Hiccup yearns to fight against dragons, but his father, Stoik, certainly frowns upon it. When Hiccup meets an enigmatic (and totally cute!) Night Fury dragon, his whole world gets turned upside down. Together, the pair learns about tolerance and understanding, as they work towards bridging the gap between Vikings and dragons. Playful and imaginative, the film is definitely considered a DreamWorks fan favorite.

In 2014, How to Tran Your Dragon 2 was released, to mostly positive reviews from critics and fans. The film recruited many of the movie's original stars, and also featured Cate Blanchett as the voice of Valka. How To Train Your Dragon 2 was even nominated for an Academy Award, by being recognized in the category for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year. Next up, be sure to check out Fandango for more information on how to catch an early screening of the next installment to the franchise. How To Train Your Dragon 3 will be in theaters nationwide on February 22nd, 2019.
