This social media user is facing backlash for creating her unborn child's Instagram account and jokingly replying to herself and her husband.

If you use social media, it's more than likely your favourite influencer will share their pregnancy and motherhood journey with the world online. After all, that's how we regular folks usually find out about new products, right? Well, this Instagram influencer is no different however not everyone was in on her and her husband's joke.

Natural hair influencer Naturally Temi whose real name is Temitope Adesina lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. In her photo, the mom-to-be is holding her bump and admiring her glowing skin. Next, users were surprised to see Temitope's baby's Instagram account comment under her photo. If that wasn't strange enough for some people, she then started replying to what seems like herself under her unborn child's account.

A few days before, the baby's account which is now deleted Naturally Baby Temi, shared a photo of Temitope in her first trimester with the caption, "Hi mommy! Looking forward to seeing your beautiful face." Some fans commented that it made them feel awkward. After another user commented on the same post and asked if it was a joke, the influencer revealed that she'd created the account with her husband for fun.

Unsurprisingly, the unborn baby's Instagram account has caused a stir among the star's followers. People found the account distasteful. A Twitter user posted screenshots of the exchange between mother and unborn child and the post has since racked up over 472,000 "likes" and been shared on Reddit where users likened it to a "Black Mirror episode".

However, not everyone was so critical of the expecting mom. Some felt that the exchange was harmless family fun between an expecting family. What do you think? Do you think this is harmless fun or do you think this couple went overboard just for social media attention?
