Yup, you read that right! Pregnancy is contagious. Its not by a sneeze from a nearby pregnant lady or drinking the same water but research is saying that it does affect those around them. Have you ever gone on your social media page and noticed that EVERYONE is pregnant or having a baby? Well, science has an answer of why!

According to Nicoletta Balbo, a researcher at the Carlo F. Dondena Center for Research on Social Dynamics at Bocconi University in Italy, women who are close and are part of a tight group will tend to get pregnant sooner after a friend gets pregnant or has a baby. The study started in 1990 and followed thousands of women and it is where they found a pattern. In a friendship of two women, the likely hood of getting pregnant for the second friend will increase for two years after her friends get pregnant and then decline back down.

Social influence and peer pressure surrounds us and is part of our every day. The study simply proves that we surround ourselves with what we would like in our own lives. So no worries, its not airborne and still your decision, but that feeling of "I want one too" is perfectly and scientifically normal!
