Jamie Lynn Spears Gave Birth To Her Second Daughter

Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth to her second daughter.

Spears and husband Jamie Watson welcomed Ivey Joan Watson on Wednesday April 11th, in Covington, Louisiana. The little bundle of joy weighed in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 ½ inches long.

“We are beyond excited to welcome this beautiful baby girl to our family! Her middle name, Joan, is to honor my Aunt Sandra, who passed away 10 years ago from ovarian cancer. She was the most graceful woman I’ve ever known,” Spears revealed to People magazine.

The 27-year-old used social media to share the news she was now a mother of two. Spears is already a mom to 9 ½ year old Maddie Briann, who she had with her ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge when she was only 17-years-old. She posted a loving picture of her little family, with not only the proud new papa looking at little Ivey but her big sister too.

Watson and Spears have been married for almost four years. Both have wanted kids since the day they met. However, the singer and actress wanted to make sure the timing was right for her, personally and professionally. Spears revealed on social media at the beginning of this year she was working on new music after a very challenging 2017.

The couple kept the news they were expecting a secret for a good part of Spears' pregnancy. They made the announcement right before Christmas last year, with a family photo showing off the Zoey 101 star’s growing baby bump. Spears and Watson also kept the gender of their baby girl a secret during the pregnancy. It is not clear if they knew ahead of time or not.

Jamie Lynn Spears is a mom for the second time. She welcomed daughter Ivey Joan this week. Despite growing up in the public eye, she has done a great job of keeping Maddie away from the spotlight. It is one reason she resides in Louisiana. Despite her desire to keep her children out of the public eye, she has posted about her oldest daughter on social media, so hopefully she will do the same with baby Ivey.

Congrats to the Watson family on their new addition.
