Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner from the first season of Married at First Sight have gotten pregnant after enduring several miscarriages.
The couple is overjoyed to have finally conceived successfully and shared a post on Instagram announcing Otis' pregnancy to fans and followers. They shared a series of pictures with the sonogram as well as a post that showed her excitement. “We went to the fertility specialist and found out WE ARE PREGNANT!!!🤰🏼 I cannot even believe it!😭👏🏻🥰...after 18 long, painful months, two losses and negative after negative on the pregnancy tests we are *finally* pregnant again!💗 Of course I am being cautiously optimistic, but I have a feeling this little one is going to stick…”
After enduring so much pain and heartbreak, this is welcome news for the couple. They also shared that there is a possibility that they may be expecting twins, which Otis hopes is true. She estimates that she should be four weeks pregnant and wrote, “They said it’s most likely I’m further along but I would absolutely love twins."

We went to the fertility specialist and found out WE ARE PREGNANT!!!🤰🏼 I cannot even believe it!😭👏🏻🥰...after 18 long, painful months, two losses and negative after negative on the pregnancy tests we are *finally* pregnant again!💗 Of course I am being cautiously optimistic, but I have a feeling this little one is going to stick..🙏🏻🤰🏼🙏🏻 ....the only thing is, yesterday the nurse called and said my blood work came back a bit different than anticipated. • Based on my last period, I should be about 4 weeks along. The blood work to support this would look like this: progesterone 8-10 & HCG 50-300 • My blood work came back like this: progesterone 51 & HCG 1,441 !!! • This means that I’m either further along OR I could potentially have TWINS!😱👯(They said it’s most likely I’m further along but I would absolutely love twins!)💞 • Thank you, thank you, *THANK YOU!* for all the encouragement, love, & prayers. IT WORKED! WE ARE FINALLY PREGNANT !!!!! 🤰🏼💗✨ • And before I end this looong caption, I just want to say this: if you’re reading this & are currently in the process of #ttc - oh mama, my heart hurts for you.😞 I know the instant internal pain that comes from another’s pregnancy announcement - even if you are or at least want to be - happy for the lucky couple. I just want you to know that your rainbow will come too. The storm cant stay forever. Hold onto hope! I am thinking of you!👶🏼🌈 • ....@doughehner & I recorded a bonus podcast ep on @hotmarriagecoolparents so we could share the WHOLE story on how we found out the best news of our lives with you! I put the link in my bio for ya!🤰🏼👶🏼✨ • • #mafs #marriedatfirstsight #bestfrans #pregnancyannouncement #finally #pregnant #pleasestick #rainbowbaby #firsttrimester #pregnancyjourney #preggo #yaya #familygoals #ttc #tryingtoconceive #ttccommunity #positivethoughts #instagood #tryingtoconceive #fertilityjourney #fertility #twins #twinsofinstagram #preggers #pregnancyphoto #pregnancyreveal #pregnancy #growingfamily
Thanking all their fans and followers for their immense support throughout their journey, she ended her announcement saying, “Thank you, thank you, *THANK YOU!* for all the encouragement, love, & prayers. IT WORKED! WE ARE FINALLY PREGNANT !!!!!” The couple revealed that they had a second miscarriage earlier this year at ten weeks. Their doctor had informed them that the baby had stopped growing even though the amniotic sac surrounding the fetus continued to grow.
The first miscarriage occured in 2016 and was very depressing as Otis was four months into the pregnancy. The couple remembers the pregnancy as a happy memory and even share posts referring to the son they lost. On account of Mother's day, Otis shared adorable pictures of herself with daughter Henley, paying tribute to her lost son and remarking that he will never be forgotten. She wrote, “ We will never know his laugh or see him smile. Our hearts were ripped out of our chest,” she wrote about her loss. “My sweet angel baby, Johnathan Edward, made me a ‘real’ mommy for the first time. Although I only held him in my arms for a few short hours, I’ve carried him in my heart every single day since then.”

Here we GROW again!🤰🏼✨ • I’m *finally* beginning to feel pregnant!👏🏻 The fatigue has hit like a ton of bricks, my boobs hurt, & I’ve had mild cramps & a back ache that was never there with any of my previous pregnancies.🤷🏼♀️ One thing that comes with every pregnancy is a weird insomnia?😴 Like, I just can’t sleep through the night?🤔 BUT, I’m not nauseous or throwing up so I cannot & *will not* complain about a thing!🙌🏼 I am genuinely *SO THANKFUL* for all these symptoms bc that means this little poppy seed—or seeds🙏🏻— are growing!👶🏼✨ • I’ve gotten a lot of DM’s, comments, and emails asking what I did differently. I did a few things differently - I was literally trying EVERYTHING.🤞🏼 I am working on a blog post & podcast (& maybe even a YouTube vid if I have enough time) to share about everything in hopes it will help you if you’re #ttc too. We have been trying for 👏🏻EIGHTEEN👏🏻 months and the last two months I just got fed up and changed A LOT of habits and IT WORKED.🙏🏻🤰🏼✨ It’s too much info for one little insta post, but I *promise* to get this done for you by the end of the week!👍🏼🥰 • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU again for the continued prayers, support & encouragement!☺️ I genuinely have the best “FRANS”😘 ....September 12th is my next visit with the fertility specialist and I AM READY FOR IT! Can’t wait to find out more info on this babe/babies & of course we will be sharing with you.🙏🏻👶🏼💗✨ • • • #bestfrans #bumppic #4weekspregnant #4weekbumppic #momlife #baby #toddler #preggo #pregnant #mafs #marriedlife #fambam #mylittlefamily #babystory #babystoryapp #ttcjourney #pregnancyjourney👶
