As many of her fans already know, Janet Jackson is someone who likes to stay in control. As a matter of fact, the chart topper says that when it comes to raising her son Eissa, she likes to do it all on her own. Jackson recently admitted that even though she’s a working mother with a hectic schedule, she doesn’t have a nanny or hired help to take care of her son when she has professional commitments.

While a lot of celebrities of Jackson’s caliber like to hire nannies to take care of their children, she’s not one of them. According to People Magazine, the 53-year-old single mother said that she likes to do everything on her own, despite the fact that she sometimes finds it hard to be a working mother.

Since becoming a mother, Jackson’s friends have dubbed her ‘Superwoman,’ but Jackson says that’s not the case at all. Calling Eissa her “beautiful son,” she said, “God knows I’m not. But I think what they are seeing is the energy and that extra drive I’m getting from the inspiration of Eissa.”

With that said though, Janet Jackson did admit that she’s in a “good space” in her life right now, despite the ups and downs she had experienced shortly after Eissa’s birth in January of 2017. She welcomed her son with her ex Wissam Al Mana but pulled the plug on their relationship after realizing that the two couldn’t make things work behind the scenes.

Jackson, who is about to kick off her own Las Vegas residency later this month, did admit that she has slowed things down ever since she gave birth to Eissa. She’s working less so she can spend more time with the young tot and of course, be a hands-on mom. And it’s a decision that she so far doesn’t regret.

“I’ve slowed down a great deal. I don’t rehearse as many hours as I used to because of being with my baby. My days have been cut in half so I can spend that time with him,” she explained.

Now, as far as whether or not little Eissa will one day follow in the footsteps of his famous mother and the rest of the Jackson family, there’s a good possibility that might happen. That’s because little Eissa loves to sing just like the rest of the Jacksons! In fact, Eissa wakes up every morning singing his own melodies, according to his famous mother.
