It might have been Mother’s Day but Jenna Fischer was forced to learn a very hard lesson: nothing in life is free. The Hollywood actress revealed that her children gave her a ‘bill’ after they served her breakfast in bed on Sunday morning.

According to The Office alumnus, Fischer’s children, Weston, 7, and Harper, 4, wanted to be paid for their services. After they served their mother, they gave her a bill that detailed her breakfast along with some of the gifts they gave her, which included flowers and balloons.

Sharing a photo of her children’s hand-made bill, it said that Fischer’s coffee and two scrambled eggs were $3. They charged her 25 cents for strawberries and blueberries and an additional 25 cents for fresh sourdough toast with butter. If that weren’t enough, she was also asked to pay back $2 for her balloons and flowers. However, they did throw in a copy of The New York Times, although did note that the paper is “not always free.” The total amount of the bill came equaled $5.50.

Fischer’s post has so far gone viral with about 177,000 likes and counting. A lot of her social media fans couldn’t help but get a good chuckle out of the Mother’s Day check by calling her two kids the new “Party Planning Committee,” referencing Fischer’s The Office character, Pam.

Thankfully, Weston and Harper have a good mom with a good sense of humor. In an interview with Parenting.com, the actress said that while she’s so far experienced plenty of ups and downs as many other parents do, she loves every single aspect of the role. She also admitted that she was surprised to find out that she has an endless supply of patience and energy for her kids that she didn’t know she had before.

Speaking about her support system, Fischer said, “My husband and I have coordinated our schedules so that one of us is there when he gets up. We’re able to eat together as a family every night too, which is something I did as a kid. I also have an amazing nanny who brings Weston to see me at work.”
