There could be another baby joining the Jersey Shore family soon!
During the most recently episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro revealed to his shocked roommates that his on again, off again girlfriend, Jen Harley, might be expecting their second child. “She’s late,” he explained to his pals, and unfortunately, their reactions weren’t all that positive.
Speaking directly to the cameras, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi explained she didn’t think it was the right time for the couple to expand their family again. "It's definitely crazy to think that Jen is pregnant again because we just never know where they are in their relationship," she explained.
Snooki added, "If they're happy, or if they are fighting in the public, or if she's dragging him in a car. I mean, I just want them to be good."
The couple’s daughter, Ariana, was born last year. But her arrival hasn’t minimized the drama between the two, which is likely why both fans and cast members have been critical of Ronnie and Jen’s relationship.
Just this past May, Jen was arrested for domestic battery against Ronnie in Las Vegas. In the scene where he revealed his girlfriend’s possible pregnancy, Ronnie was sporting a black eye he allegedly got from the altercation. Jen’s arrest came a mere four months after he filed a police report against her after the two had a violent run-in last New Year’s Eve. The two broke up shortly afterwards, though they have since rekindled things.
Although they haven’t cleared it up on the show yet, it’s obvious Jen’s pregnancy scare was a false alarm, judging by her flat-stomach Instagram photos. However, a source recently revealed to Hollywood Life that Ronnie and Jen are talking about the possibility of baby no. 2. They’ve clearly moved past all the domestic drama quickly.
“Ronnie and Jen are in a great place right now and very much together and really trying to make things work,” the source revealed. “Jen was never really pregnant and the scare was more for a storyline.”
While the insider went on to say that the pair don’t want to get pregnant immediately, they’re definitely not ruling it out in the future. “[They] discussed growing their family, but the time isn’t right now,” they explained. “They know they have work to do still on their relationship before bringing another baby into this world together and are OK with that.”
