Jessica Alba knows motherhood is not the easiest job in the world, but don’t expect her to air her dirty laundry with her fans. She recently shared how mothering is strictly her business.
The Honest Company co-founder gave a candid interview with Redbook revealing how hard it is to balance being a mom with her career. However, you won’t catch her airing her motherhood business on social media as therapy.
“I don’t have it together at all, I just don’t need to use social media as therapy and tell everyone, ‘Today I f—-ed up as a mom.’ It’s none of your damn business,” explained the mother of three, in regards to the giving her fans a false perception of motherhood.
Even though the actress isn’t venting online or sharing her struggles with her millions of followers, it does not mean she doesn’t lose it as a mom sometimes. Alba explained being able to share her dirty laundry with her girlfriends is what keeps her grounded.
“Sometimes when I get together with my friends, we’ll reflect on how we’ve made similar good and bad decisions. It’s like, ‘Yeah, that was humbling.’ Then you move on and have a glass of wine,” she said.
The Mechanic Resurrection star has no problem with other moms, famous or not, using social media to share their grievances. It is simply not her style.
“I’m fine if people want to air their dirty laundry online, but people know enough about me. I make mistakes all the time,” shared Alba.
Being a mom is not easy and no one knows that better than Jessica Alba, who welcomed her third child and first son Hayes in December. Even though she shares a lot about her life on social media, the one thing she will never do is complain about motherhood. Fans will not be privy to what mistakes she makes as a parent and hats off to her for that choice.
It is difficult enough to be a parent without the Internet world judging your every move. Alba has shut down that option by keeping her dirty little motherhood secrets to herself. And you know what... she it right. It is none of our business!!
