39-year old actor, singer, and fashion designer, Jessica Simpson, recently opened up about the ups and downs of bringing up three kids, who are all 7 years and under.

Jessica welcomed her third baby, daughter Birdie, on March 19, with her husband, Eric Johnson. Their other two kids, Ace and Maxwell, are six and seven years old, respectively.

The busy mama says that being in a different phase, each kid has his and her share of demands and managing her time with them is not an easy task. However, the couple is trying their best to learn to tackle every challenge together.

“Three kids is no joke. It is definitely constant, and the biggest challenge for me is trying to be present when I am pulled in so many directions,” she said to People Magazine, “They are all in such different phases now.”

While the eldest kid, 7-year daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, is an animal lover, 6-years old son Ace is a sports buff. Her youngest daughter, 3-month old Birdie Mae, keeps the star busy with feedings and napping.

Jessica has earlier confessed of her unplanned third pregnancy, “I thought about [having another baby], but I didn't really know that it could actually happen. We definitely always love to practice." She continued, "We actually weren't practicing very much that month, so I don't understand. We try [to figure it out]. This might be a miracle baby.”

The parents might be trying to adjust between the umpteen happenings in life, but the elder brother and sister are happy to have their baby sister in the house. Since Max and Ace are just 14 months apart, they have not been able to cherish the joys of being elders, which they are now fulfilling.

She also spoke on her marital life, and how she and her hubby manage time for each other in spite of having busy schedules. They make sure to dedicate one night to themselves every week, handing Max and Ace off to Johnson's parents and getting a babysitter to take care of little Birdie.

She said, "We typically download a movie and order dinner or do something super low-key to just connect. Eric is the greatest motivator, and connecting with him on morning walks is the most grounding part of my day."

Jessica often gives fans a glimpse of her personal life via social media– such as Birdie's cute dimples, and the elderly love and care of the older siblings. Simpson says, “Birdie is so precious. She is a little smiley angel these days. It is the best thing in the world to see and feel her smile. It fills the room,”

The three kids don't deter the lady from staying fit or from conquering her career!

Jessica's memoir for Harper Collins is due in February, and she is also excited about the launch of JessicaSimpson.com, a sales destination for her Jessica Simpson Collection and a podium for her to share stories, ideas, and photos.
