When it comes to getting back in shape after her third pregnancy, Jessica Simpson is taking it one day at a time. The fashion maven recently shared an adorable post-workout selfie with her husband Eric Johnson and their daughter Birdie, who she gave birth to back in March. The couple also have two older children, 7-year-old Maxwell Drew and 6-year-old Ace Knute.

The mother-of-three couldn’t resist picking up her beautiful blue-eyed daughter Birdie and snapping a photo along with her husband Eric. She simply captioned the moment with, “Post workout snuggles. #BirdieMae.”

This comes after Jessica Simpson was slammed for allowing her 7-year-old daughter Maxwell to dye her hair for the summer. Jessica documented the process on her Instagram account by posting before and after photos of Maxie with her new purple highlights. The little girl wanted to color her hair after she was inspired to do so by the hit Disney channel movie, The Descendants. A lot of critics called out Jessica for allowing her daughter to get her hair processed and chemically treated, despite her age. So far Jessica herself has not made any comments about the controversy although plenty of people, including fellow celebrity mom Pink, have come to her defense.

Meanwhile, Jessica has also announced that even though she’s on her maternity leave, she’s been hard at work with her new book, which is expected to come out later this year. The former chart topper says that she is looking forward to sharing her life story with her fans and hopes to inspire many people with the ups and downs of her own life experiences and how she managed to overcome them.

“I have been approached many times over the years about writing a book. It never felt right to me until this very moment,” she told People Magazine earlier this summer. “I have always felt that one of my God-given purposes in this life is to inspire people.”

Jessica didn’t specify when her book is expected to hit store shelves, but it’s without a doubt that her fans will definitely pick up a copy and read what she has to say. Jessica has been in the entertainment industry since her early years and had her first massive hit, “I Wanna Love You Forever,” back in 1999.
