During a new interview with on Heart Breakfast radio show, the celebrity opened up about her 2014 diagnosis. “Four, four-and-a-half, five years ago, I was diagnosed with this disease, which is making it harder,” the 31-year-old explained. “I was told I can’t have children, but I don’t believe it. I believe in miracles. I haven’t given up.”

This wasn’t the first time Jessie has spoken about her condition. Just last November, during a performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall, she got candid with the crowd. “I knew that it would help women and men that have fertility issues,” Jessie explained. “And, just to be open about it and start a conversation that can help someone that doesn’t know how to talk about it.”

The singer has already been taking steps to increase her chances of getting pregnant (which may suggest that she and Channing are actively trying for a child of their own). Soon after receiving the diagnosis, Jessie dramatically altered her diet and lifestyle. “I changed the way I live, I’ve done a lot of self-work. I am still in the process of it,” she explained.

Although Jessie hasn’t offered specific details of what her condition entails, if one thing is clear, the celebrity has long wanted to be a mother. Only a year before her diagnosis, in 2013, she told Marie Claire that she was already envisioning her future family. “When I turned 25, something changed in me. I see children in my future 100 percent,” she told the magazine, adding that she wanted children “very soon.”

Jessie has been dating Channing Tatum for around a year- fans have noted just how similar the star looks to his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan. Channing and Jenna were married in 2009, and though they separated early last year, they’ve yet to finalize their divorce. They share a 6-year old daughter, Everly, who was born in 2013. From the looks of things online, not only do Channing and Jenna do great at co-parenting, but she also gets along great with Jessie.

Even more, Channing has only been supportive of Jessie’s openeness about her struggles. After she performed at Royal Albert Hall last year, the actor took to social media to sing her praises. This woman just poured her heart out on stage,” he wrote online. “Whoever was there got to witness something special. Wow.” We know that fans would love to see Jessie and Channing have children, so hopefully Jessie gets the miracle she wants and deserves.
